If some of your group wants to go hiking while others go shopping, this is a great base!

This neighborhood is an established neighborhood with lots of large trees and a park and playground 2 houses down which you can get to through the back gate. It’s very family friendly! From the park, you can also see the train that runs nearby, our daughter loves to watch it. You’re nestled against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and just a few minutes drive west to Pikes Peak National Forest!

You’ll be within walking distance of Monument Lake (12 minutes) and of Downtown Monument (15 minutes) with lots of cute shops, restaurants, etc. Just out the back is access to a large park with lots to do. A car is still going to be your best mode of transportation for anything outside of Monument, obviously.
